For young up-and-coming polo players Max and Luca Parrott, off the track Thoroughbreds play a crucial role in advancing their polo careers. The teenage cousins from Waimai Polo Club currently house around 20 retired racehorses, but have had Thoroughbreds in their family polo operation for generations. In return for a spot on their team helping them move through the grades, their horses enjoy a beautiful life on their idyllic South Waikato farm where they embark on their new careers post-racing.
